From insight to practice.

Research can illuminate the challenge.

Transformation still has to be lived.

Change often appears first as a strategy problem, a people problem, or a leadership problem.

But adaptive challenges frequently go deeper. They ask us to reconsider assumptions, release old patterns, learn new ways of working — and sometimes change ourselves.

Whether you want to share what you are learning, contribute to our wider inquiry, or work with us on a real challenge, we welcome the conversation.

How do we put adaptivity into practice?

Adaptivity is not simply about finding the right answer.

It is about developing the capacity to notice what is changing, discern what the situation requires, experiment with new responses, and learn as we go — while staying anchored in what matters.

Sometimes that work is individual. Sometimes it sits within a leadership team. Sometimes the challenge crosses strategy, culture, relationships, structures, and systems.

Our work begins with the real challenge in front of you.

Ways to work together

Coaching

For leaders navigating an adaptive challenge, leadership transition, role, relationship, or season where the answer is not yet clear — and where the leader’s own way of seeing may be part of the work.

Through structured conversations, reflection, challenge, and experimentation, coaching helps leaders surface new perspectives, make sense of complexity, and translate insight into practical next steps.

The immediate challenge matters.
So does becoming more capable of meeting the next one.

Advisory

For leadership teams working through strategy, culture, alignment, transformation, or challenges that cross functions and perspectives.

We help leaders make sense of what is happening, surface competing assumptions and priorities, clarify what matters most, and shape practical ways forward.

Advisory work may draw on adaptive leadership, organizational development, strategy, leadership development, and facilitated dialogue depending on the challenge.

Facilitation, Workshops & Labs

Focused spaces for leaders and teams to step out of the immediate pressure of execution and work on an important question together.

Sessions may help a group surface what is happening, hear perspectives that are not yet in the room, identify what deserves attention, test a next step, and learn from what follows.

These can range from a focused leadership conversation to a workshop, adaptive lab, retreat, or facilitated working session.

Longer development journeys can also be shaped around the needs of an individual, executive team, board, or leadership group.

How an engagement begins

  1. 01

    Conversation

Tell us what is happening, what has already been tried, and what still feels stuck, unclear, or unresolved.

We begin by surfacing clarity from complexity.

  2. 02

    Design

We agree on the question worth working on, who should be involved, the scope of the engagement, and a practical way of working together.

  3. 03

    Practice & Learn

We work on the real challenge, test assumptions and possible responses, notice what we are learning, and adjust as the situation develops.

Who you’ll work with

The work is led by Norbert Woo, founder of the Institute for Adaptivity (aka The Adaptivity Monk), together with trusted experts and partners including Adaptive Leaders.

Across coaching, advisory, facilitation, and leadership development, we bring adaptive leadership and reflective practice into the real challenges facing leaders and teams — from boardrooms and businesses to nonprofits, ministries, and organizations navigating consequential change.

  • See differently.
  • Ask better questions.
  • Experiment wisely.
  • Transform without losing what matters.

Our work helps leaders and teams make sense of complexity, surface assumptions and patterns that may be limiting their response, and build the capacity to navigate what their next season requires.

Bring us the challenge.

You do not need to know whether you need coaching, advisory, facilitation, or something else.

Tell us what is happening.

A few lines about the situation are enough. We can explore the challenge together and identify a useful place to begin.
